As a founder and shareholder in Warner, Sechrest & Butts, P.A., Mr. Warner works tirelessly to provide counsel and representation to clients and put his many years of experience as a trial lawyer to good use. A Life of Personal Achievements

Mr. Warner has led a life filled with personal achievements and a record of excellence. In 1986, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information science. In 1987, his studies at the Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School came to an end as Mr. Warner finished second in his class and was given a Distinguished Graduate recognition.

After graduation, Mr. Warner entered the U.S. Navy as an ensign, serving four years as a U.S. Naval Air Intelligence Officer in San Diego. While serving with Fighter Squadron 213 (VF-213), Mr. Warner was stationed on the U.S.S. Enterprise. He also attended a navy fighter weapons school, Top Gun, and during 1991-1994, he was an instructor in counter-terrorism and air warfare at the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center in Dam Neck, Va. Mr. Warner continued his work as an Intelligence Briefer from 1994 to 1995 while also serving as an Officer to the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Atlantic Command and Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk.

It was at this time that Mr. Warner decided to make a career change and enrolled in law school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. He graduated in 1998 in the top 5 percent of his class from the Fredric G. Levin College of Law, receiving a Juris Doctor degree with High Honors. Mr. Warner’s talents and hard work did not end in the classroom as he also served as the Senior Symposium Editor of the Florida Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, an honor given only to those students dedicated to excellence with grades placing them in the top 10 percent of their class.

An Accomplished Personal Injury Attorney

Mr. Warner worked as a trial lawyer for 3 years at Fowler White in Tampa, where he became very skilled in litigation. He also served as the Assistant General Counsel at the University of Florida, overseeing medical compliance in research with human and animal subjects from 2001 to 2004. His experiences gave him the needed insight and expertise to represent clients in the areas of negligence, medical malpractice and tort litigation. Mr. Warner is currently a member of the American and Florida Bar associations.

In addition to his academic achievements, stellar military record and professional expertise, Mr. Warner enjoys giving back to the Gainesville community. He often assists injury victims who cannot afford legal fees and counsel, and he has been recognized for his dedication to clients through the 2012 Chief Justice’s Law Firm Commendation for significant contribution in the provision of pro bono legal services.

Mr. Warner does not hesitate to advocate on behalf of his clients.
